Kebabangan Petroleum Operating Company Sdn. Bhd. (“KPOC”) is a Joint Operating Company comprising PETRONAS Carigali Sdn. Bhd., ConocoPhillips (Sabah Gas) Ltd. and Shell Energy Asia Limited and acting as Operator for the Kebabangan Cluster Production Sharing Contract, offshore Sabah, Malaysia. CEO’S OFFICE
EXECUTIVE, CORPORATE HSE
Position Summary
Establish a comprehensive HSE Management System in compliance with HSE legislations as well as PETRONAS and KPOC Shareholders HSE requirements. Provide support to the HSE Corporate team to protect KPOC’s image or reputation, interest and assets. Inculcate an effective HSE culture amongst the employees and contractors/subcontractors.
Requirements
- Bachelor degree in Engineering, Science or equivalent qualifications
- Minimum of 7 years corporate and/or project HSE work experience in the oil and gas industry
- Well-versed in the oil and gas HSE processes, codes, standards and statutory requirements

EXECUTIVE, HSE CONTRACTS AND SYSTEMS
Position Summary
Provide support to the Corporate and Project HSE team in setting up and monitoring HSE contracts for KPOC corporate and project teams especially HSE training including crisis and emergency management training. Focal point/coordinator for HSE systems which include Offshore Safety and Medical Pass (OSMP) system and SAP HSE modules to process related applications/submissions.

PROJECT HSE
PROJECT HSE ENGINEER
Position Summary
Promote, support and facilitate the implementation of KPOC HSE policies and strategies in all project phases. Support the Project HSE Manager and assist HSE team to ensure the project construction and installation are executed in accordance with the HSE requirements of the contract. Facilitate the implementation of KPOC culture change/behaviour safety programs, contributing to/review of technical safety/HSE studies, reports and procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor degree in Engineering, preferably Chemical or Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum of 10 years major project experience in an HSE role with at least 3 years in process/technical safety or safety engineering.
- Extensive experience in technical/process safety in detailed design, managing HSE in fabrication yards, installation/
construction barges and in offshore platform operations.

PROJECT SERVICES & CONTROLS
ENGINEERING DATA WAREHOUSE COORDINATOR
Position Summary
Ensure the effective operation and use of the KBB Projects selected Engineering Data Warehouse (SmartPlant Foundation for Operations-SPO) during the execution and handover phases of the KBB Project. Perform system administration functions and provide first line support for users. Support data loading from contractors and vendors and deliver quality reporting feedback and suggestions for improvement to the data providers. Ensure that the system configuration evolves to meet project requirements under tight change control by managing the change process for the application.
Requirements
- Bachelor degree in Engineering or equivalent qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years Information Management (IM) experience in data management in either a project or operations environment.
- Minimum of 5 years experience using or supporting engineering design systems during projects and maintenance management systems in operations with at least 3 years experience in the development of IM standards and processes.

OFFSHORE INSTALLATION MANAGER (OIM)
Position Summary
As part of the KBB Northern Hub Operations Readiness Team,
participate in the installation, hook up and commissioning of all
equipment being installed on the KBB Northern Hub facilities. During the Operations phase, support the Operations Manager with day to day onshore and offshore operations including shutdown planning and cover for the two rotating OIMs offshore. Manage and interface with third party personnel.
Requirements
- Bachelor degree in Engineering or equivalent qualifications.
- Minimum of 15 years offshore management experience either as an OIM or Senior Production Supervisor with previous major production facilities in the oil and gas industry.
- Extensive experience in all types of oil and gas equipment operations and related maintenance activities.
- Extensive experience in Process Safety programs and practices including Management of Change and Operations Integrity.
- Experience in managing and administering risk-mitigating.
controls over Simultaneous Operations (SIMOPS) activities offshore or onshore.
- Experience in coordinating and dealing with emergency response cases, both drill and/or real, at offshore or onshore locations
- Must be capable of working in a multi-cultural work environment with a demonstrable ability to communicate effectively
- Onshore based in the KK office Monday to Friday.

SENIOR PROCESS ENGINEER
Position Summary
Lead and manage the technical process engineering for the day
to day and longer term for safe and efficient operation of the KBB facilities. Ensure that processes and procedures are in place to verify that facilities are operating within required limits without compromise to personnel safety and facilities integrity.
Requirements
- Bachelor degree in Chemical Engineering.
- Preferably registered with the Institute of Chemical Engineers Malaysia or equivalent
- Minimum of 15 years experience as a Process Engineer in the oil
and gas industry preferably in a field support role
- Experience in Process Safety programs and practices including Management of Change.
- Experience in design reports review, process equipment and overall system performance of offshore equipment.
- Knowledge and experience in the use of process simulation software HYSIS for Production Optimization is an advantage.
- Onshore office based in the KK office but willing to travel and work offshore for any given period of time to assist Frontline Operations in the implementation of any production optimization initiatives

WELL OPERATIONS ENGINEER
Position Summary
As part of the KBB Northern Hub Operations Readiness Team, contribute to the development of well-operations and maintenance procedures and in the operating phase the planning and execution of well interventions for remedial activities and/or down-hole data acquisition. Develop well-integrity and maintenance philosophy and prepare appropriate procedures to implement the same, including all aspects of well control in normal and abnormal situations.
Develop and maintain capabilities to support well engineering of new wells, work over or re-completion. As part of a small well- operations team, manage the on-going maintenance and support of the KBB wells and the future KME subsea completions during the operations phase.
Requirements
- Bachelor degree in Engineering preferably in Production or Well
Engineering
- Minimum of 5 years experience in well operations including downhole and intervention operations in the oil and gas industry
- Experience with bidding/contracting of well-intervention services
- Demonstrable ability to develop strategies and tactics with regards to onshore and offshore wells support
- Capable of working in a multi-cultural work environment with a
demonstrable ability to communicate effectively.

MECHANICAL ENGINEER (STATIC)
Position Summary
Plan the activities and provide technical services required to ensure that offshore mechanical static equipment is designed and installed to function safely and efficiently, within budget and available resources.
Requirements
- Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum of 5 years experience in the oil and gas industry in mechanical static maintenance, or project/design mechanical static engineering.
- Experience in engineering drawings, mechanical schematics,
sketches, flow diagrams and P&ID
- Strong understanding in preventive and corrective maintenance concepts and repair procedures
- Onshore office based in the KK office but willing to travel and work offshore when the need arises to assist Frontline Operations in the implementation of any facilities upgrade initiatives.

CONTRACTS SPECIALIST
Position Summary
Provide contract administration services for the Operations team
to ensure effective contracts are properly developed, executed and managed. The main functions include identification, development and placement of contracts to ensure the contractors comply with the obligations and responsibilities set out in the contracts. Ensure contracts are monitored, maintained and documented including contract tracking and analysis. Review proposed contract modifications and extensions. Prepare contract closeout documents upon completion of the services.
Requirements
- Bachelor degree in Engineering or Business Administration.
- Minimum of 7 years experience in negotiating operations procurement activities and services contracts.
- Experience in development and application of contractual terms and conditions for POs and services
- Familiar with operations services including maintenance, asset integrity, logistics, warehousing, transportation,rotating/static equipment and tubular goods
- Well-versed in the integrated finance and procurement (ERP) application systems such as SAP, Maximo or PIMS

COST SPECIALIST
Position Summary
Provide cost control services in support of KBB for all the Operational cost planning and reporting. Functions include budget forecasting, data base management, progress schedule against the Operations Readiness Plan, analyzing results and trends, variance analysis by holding face to face meeting with the contract holders.
Requirements
- Bachelor degree in Engineering, Accounting or Finance
- Minimum of 5 years experience in audit and/or accounting in the
oil and gas industry
- Experience in the verification of cost and expenditure reporting
- Experience in developing cost accounting and forecasting information for management use.

EXECUTIVE, TRAINING & COMPETENCY
Position Summary
Coordinate courses and course materials for employee development. Assist in the training and competency processes to ensure that a competent operations work force is in place at the start-up of the KBB Northern Hub within budget.
Requirements
- Bachelor degree in any discipline preferably Engineering or equivalent qualifications.
- Minimum of 7 years experience with at least 5 years in training and competency system development in the oil and gas industry
- Well-versed in competency training and budgeting
- Knowledge in SAP system is an advantage.

SABAH GOVERNMENT LIAISON OFFICER
Position Summary
Provide advice and communication to KPOC and its staff to ensure tasks compliance while operating within the state of Sabah at the KKB offshore site, Kota Kinabalu office and Labuan warehouse. Serve as liaison with local government agencies and authorities regarding latest policy changes and provide insights on potential impact of these changes.
Requirements
- Bachelor degree in Business Studies/Administration/Management
or equivalent qualifications.
- Minimum of 7 years experience with at least 5 years in a liaison role with government agencies or local authorities.
- Demonstrable understanding of the oil and gas business – gained in operating company or global business environment.
- Able to think strategically and translate business objectives into multichannel strategies/plans
- Excellent verbal and writing skills in the English language.
- Sociable, presentable, possess good communication skills and able to interact and build rapport at all levels.

OPERATIONS INTERFACE COORDINATOR
Position Summary
Provide technical, planning and coordination support to the various satellite developments to the KBB platform. Ensure safe and efficient implementation of design, tie-in and commissioning activities for these opportunities. Ensure that the host facilities are fully prepared to accept 3rd party production and that the 3rd parties are fully aware and compliant with KBB expectations.
Requirements
- Bachelor degree in Engineering.
- Minimum of 10 years’ broad Engineering experience in the oil and gas industry preferably in an offshore environment with at least 7 years in a lead or supervisory role
- Good understanding of 3rd party commissioning and start-up issues.
- Good organizational and communication skills.

OPERATIONS HSE ENGINEER
Position Summary
Ensure compliance with operational HSE management plans,
regional regulatory requirements and industry best practices. Work within the Operations HSE Team and interface with personnel at all levels of the organization in order to identify and rectify operational risks. Serve as liaison with local government agencies and authorities regarding operational activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor degree in Engineering or Environmental Science.
- Minimum of 7 years HSE experience in the oil and gas industry
- Well-versed in managing environmental permitting activities and environmental management plan objectives which include scheduled waste management
- Well-versed in the elements of Operations Safety Case Study.
- Experience with SIMOPS and the identification and control of inherent risks to ALARP (As Low As Reasonably Practicable)
- Experience in TENORM management (storage, handling,
monitoring & risk analysis, reporting), and in interfacing with AELB (Atomic Energy Licensing Board) local authority.
- Experience in the preparation of procedures and coordinating the implementation of Operations Business Resumption Plan.
- Knowledge of oil and gas industrial safety standards and local statutory requirements

SAFETY ENGINEER
Position Summary
Ensure compliance with Operational HSE management plans, regional regulatory requirements and industry best practices. Report to Lead, Operations Engineering and interface with Operations HSE Engineer on matters pertaining to Departmental HSE. Assist the Operations HSE Engineer in interfacing with local governmental
agencies and authorities regarding operational activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor in Engineering, Occupational/ Industrial Safety & Health or Environmental Science.
- Minimum of 7 years HSE experience in the oil and gas industry
- Well-versed in environmental permitting activities and
environmental management plan objectives
- Well-versed in emergency response procedures and implementation, e.g. ó Medivac, Casevac, Fire, Oil Spill response.
- Well-versed in scheduled waste management.
- Able to gather, compile, analyze HSE-related data, and formulate recommendation in maintaining compliance to HSE policies.
- Promote continuous improvement through HSE-related initiatives, programs.
- Experience in organizing and coordinating facilities HSE
inspection visits, through to reporting of findings and closure of identified action points.

INSPECTION ENGINEER
Position Summary
Assist the Asset and Operability Integrity Lead in the development of inspection and implementation testing and maintenance plans for the KBB structure, topsides, pipelines and associated assets. Develop a comprehensive baseline inspection plan for all of the assets mentioned.
Requirements
- Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years experience in the oil and gas industry with
specific focus on In-Service Inspection & Risk Based Inspection (RBI) procedure development including one or more of the following;
Fabrication inspection, QA/QC or Corrosion monitoring.
- Knowledge in Non-Destructive Examination (NDE) techniques
(MPI, DPT, EC, UT, RT), corrosion measurement techniques, cathodic protection systems and monitoring.
- Must have API 570 or API 510 Certification.
- Having API 580 and/or API 571 certificate is/are an advantage.

OPERATIONS
(Field Rotation Positions)

OFFSHORE PROCESS ENGINEER
Position Summary
Provide process-related input into commissioning and start-up programs
and to provide process engineering support and advice to Field
Operations during HUC and subsequent operation of the KBB facilities.
Requirements
- Bachelor degree in Chemical Engineering
- Preferably registered with the Institute of Chemical Engineers Malaysia or equivalent
- Minimum of 7 years process engineering experience in the oil and gas industry.
- Experience in Process Safety studies and practice which include instigating process safety and optimization initiatives via technical procedures and Management of Change, through to implementation
- Experience in design reports review, process equipment and overall system performance of offshore equipment
- Knowledge and experience in the use of process simulation software such as HYSIS or equivalent for Production Optimization.

PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR
Position Summary
Provide input in the installation and hook up and commissioning of all equipment installed on KBB. Ensure compliance to the HSE policies and support KPOC’s Health, Safety and Environmental Management System goals effort and programs. Ensure HSE issues are given primary consideration in all activities undertaken within area of responsibility. During the operations phase of KBB, the incumbent is responsible for the day to day operations including EPTW and control of isolation/desolations of the offshore production facilities to meet HSE requirements and production targets as well as leading a team of Control Room Operators, Outside Operators and third party contractors.
Requirements
- Diploma in Engineering or equivalent qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years experience in offshore oil and gas production operations with at least 7 years in a supervisory role.
- Experience in all types of oil and gas operations equipment.
including gas turbines, subsurface, Wells and combined operations, EPTW and Process Isolations
- Experience in assisting OIM or Production Superintendent in administering risk-mitigating controls over SIMOPS activities offshore or onshore.
- Experience in assisting OIM or Production Superintendent in coordinating emergency response actions, in both drill and/or real scenarios at offshore or onshore locations.
- Possess skill and knowledge in control room operatorship, DCS operations, simultaneous.
- Operations, plant shutdown and startup, drilling operations and emergency evacuation or response.

SERVICES SUPERVISOR
Position Summary
Support day to day running of the offshore Maintenance and Operations Departments. Control offshore, deck operations, boat operations, helideck operations and materials management, planning, insulation, scaffolding, fabric maintenance and hospitality & catering. Develop a positive safety culture to ensure that all identified hurdles are working within the law and company policies and procedures. Ensure that all personnel are developed, trained and competent to carry out their duties for delivering a service to support the overall performance of the KBB platform.
Requirements
- Diploma in Engineering or equivalent qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years experience in offshore oil and gas production services with at least 7 years in a supervisory role in operations, projects or related activities.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of safety regulations and associated safety management systems.
- Proven track record in developing and maintain a strong safety culture.
- Familiar with coordinating the implementation of an Operations Business Resumption Plan
- Demonstrable ability in influencing and interpersonal skills.
- Well-versed in Microsoft Office applications.

MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR
Position Summary
Provide support to the OIM to ensure safe and efficient execution of all inspection and maintenance activities on the facilities. Lead a team of technicians and contractors to safely execute the maintenance of all equipment on KBB platform during routine operations and planned outages.
Requirements
- Diploma in Engineering or equivalent qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years experience in fixed and rotating gas compression which also include maintenance activities in the upstream oil and gas facilities with at least 7 years in a supervisory role
- Well-versed in preventative and corrective maintenance concepts and repair procedures
- Knowledge in engineering drawings, mechanical schematics, sketches, flow diagrams and P&ID
- Experience in using CMMS and SAP PM Module is an advantage

SENIOR OPERATIONS TECHNICIAN (PRODUCTION)
Position Summary
Lead the production technicians to ensure safe and efficient installation start up including implementation of the preventive and corrective maintenance tasks of operations equipment. Impart knowledge and experience to junior operations technician using the PECAS competency program to familiarize them in the application and use of safety management systems in day to day tasks.
Requirements
- Diploma in Engineering or equivalent qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years experience in the oil and gas industry preferably in an offshore environment with at least 7 years in a supervisory role
- Experience in operating oil and gas plant via the DCS (control room operations)
- Well-versed in simultaneous operations, knowledgeable on wells and drilling operations, operating glycol regeneration system, switchover of key equipment, writing Standard Operating Procedures, utilities operations, equipment isolation, purging, emergency response and drills.

SENIOR OPERATIONS TECHNICIAN (MECHANICAL)
Position Summary
Lead the mechanical technicians to ensure safe and efficient implementation of the preventive and corrective maintenance tasks of operations equipment including gas turbine compressors. Impart knowledge and experience to junior operations technician using the PECAS competency program to familiarize them in the application and use of safety management systems in day to day tasks.
Requirements
- Diploma in Engineering or equivalent qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years experience in the oil and gas industry preferably in an offshore environment with at least 7 years in a supervisory role.
- Experience in using the CMMS/SAP systems to record maintenance tasks and equipment history,
- Execution of PM/CM tasks, overhaul, troubleshooting and basic analysis of equipment failures.

HOOK-UP & COMMISSIONING (HUC)

PROCESS ENGINEER
Position Summary
Assist the Process team to ensure that the design cases, data sheets, and process calculations for all process equipment for KBB project meets the design and performance specifications. Provide process integrity input to ensure the process equipment for the project is selected, constructed, tested and commissioned in compliance with KPOC standards for safety and operability. Participate in the testing, commissioning and start-up of hydrocarbon and non-hydrocarbon system, develop spading plans, and develop testing procedures, fine tuning process and performing endurance test. Participate in the development of commissioning and start up plans.
Requirements
- Bachelor degree in Chemical Engineering
- Minimum of 10 years experience in the oil and gas upstream process engineering, with at least 5 years start up experience
- Experience in design and overall system performance of process
- Experience in testing and commissioning of upstream facilities with system completion and handover requirements.

HSE SUPERVISOR
Position Summary
Ensure all risks and hazards including control measures for mechanical completion, pre-commissioning, and commissioning activities have been assessed, documented and communicated prior to work execution. Administer the Permit To Work (PTW) process from application to suspension/closing of permits. Oversee the installation contractor team and HUC contractor to ensure onshore and offshore activities are performed safely. This includes facilitating and ensuring alignment of HSE practices and processes between all contractors to ensure consistent approach.
Requirements
- Diploma in Engineering, HSE or equivalent qualifications
- Minimum of 8 years project HSE experience in the oil and gas industry.
- Experience in managing HSE pre-commissioning and HUC activities onshore and offshore.
- Well-versed in the oil and gas HSE processes, codes, standards and statutory requirements.
- Having NIOSH, NEBOSH or similar certification is an advantage.

HR & SERVICES

EXECUTIVE, MANPOWER PLANNING & SYSTEM
Position Summary
Ensure effective and efficient implementation of the manpower planning, budget and performance management system are in accordance with company policies, practices and procedures to meet the operational needs and company’s objective.
Requirements
- Bachelor degree in any academic discipline
- Minimum of 5 years experience in HR functions preferably in manpower planning and performance management system.
- Experience in the preparations and reportings of work program & budget, position management and organizational structure.
- Well-versed in Microsoft Office and SAP system
- Experienced in oil and gas and/or project environment is an advantage.

EXECUTIVE, TALENT SOURCING & STAFF DEVELOPMENT
Position Summary
Plan, coordinate, facilitate and implement Human Resources functions which include HR development, recruitment and remuneration package. Manage and monitor job proposal & offers, salary & benefits and employment/manpower contracts. Provide HR services in line with HR policies, practices and procedures. The emphasis will be on the development which includes staff management, Malaysianisation and succession management.
Requirements

FINANCE EXECUTIVE, ACCOUNTING
Position Summary
Coordinate KPOC Accounting and Internal Control processes including preparation of monthly financial statements, providing guidance on accounting policy, ensuring proper internal controls and providing accounting support to management. Perform all aspects of accounting including general ledger, joint venture, cost allocation, fixed asset, shareholder reporting and internal controls.
Requirements
- Bachelor degree in Accounting with 3.0 GPA or better.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in audit and/or accounting.
- Developed attention to detail with ability to meet deadlines under pressure.
- Ability to work within a diverse cultural environment.

SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT

EXECUTIVE, WAREHOUSE
Position Summary
Implement, direct and execute all warehouse operation activities and logistical services in support of the KBB Offshore operations through project, drilling, hook-up and commissioning, and operations phases. Manage materials and warehouse in the most effective, safe and cost efficient manner to meet business requirement while ensuring compliance to established policies, procedures and regulatory requirements, good governance in the overall process.
Provide advisory and guidance on materials, vast knowledge on offshore platform equipment’s spare parts, materials handling and warehouse operations through risk evaluation, information sharing on lesson learnt.
Requirements
- Bachelor degree in Logistics Management, Business Administration or equivalent qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years experience in offshore oil and gas logistics management.
- Experience in drilling support and offshore operations.
- Well-versed in Microsoft Office and SAP system.

Position Summary

Position Summary
Provide administrative HR related services to the company in a timely, efficient and cost effective manner to support business, operational objectives and plans in compliance with the approved policies and procedures. Assist in the preparations of HR related correspondence and document, update and maintain employee’s database, information, organize proper filing and record keeping.
Requirements
- Diploma in Human Resource Management/Business Studies/ Administration/Management or equivalent qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years experience in HR related functions
- Well-versed in Microsoft Office applications;
- Experience in oil and gas and/or project environment is an advantage.

Provide remuneration and benefits administrative services to the company in a timely, efficient and cost effective manner to support business, operational objectives and plans in compliance with the approved policies and procedures. Assist in the payroll administration and liaise with the statutory bodies such as Employee Provident Fund, Inland Revenue and SOCSO.
Requirements
- Diploma in Human Resource Management/Business Studies/ Administration/Management or equivalent qualifications.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in remuneration and benefits administration.
- Experience in payroll administration and statutory requirements.
- Well-versed in Microsoft Office applications and SAP system.
- Experience in oil and gas and/or project environment is an advantage.
