Development Manager
Main Responsibilities
- Reporting to the Technical Director, IES Malaysia, you will manage the expansion of one of our existing developments off the east coast of peninsula Malaysia.
- To lead the multi-disciplinary teams spanning subsurface, well engineering, facilities, commercial and economics from initiation through to sanction as required.
- To lead and participate in value assurance reviews at key project milestones; providing peer assist advice pre-sanction, building strong relationships with asset and project teams, carrying out independent reviews of FEED developments, monitoring project progress, recommending improvements to project delivery, keeping up-to-date on industry trends and initiatives.
- To deliver optimal development plans through cooperation with subsurface, well engineering, facilities, asset operations, and commercial, including associated cost estimates, development schedules, and risk management.
- To ensure a range of optimal development concepts are created and evaluated and crucial business value is provided at origination.
Requirements
- Degree in Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 15 years of experience in leading concept selection and front end engineering projects and teams, and ideally a track record of working on projects from initial discovery to sanction, covering oil and gas production and associated facilities in a client/operator environment.
- This will include experience of engineering lifecycle phases; feasibility, concept selection and FEED.
- Skilled in interfacing across a wide range of disciplines including petroleum engineering and well engineering; you will be a team player, adept at working in geographically diverse and multi-cultural environments.
- Proven at providing technical and management advice, you will possess strong interpersonal skills and experience in leading multi-disciplinary teams, including the management and quality control of contractors.
